Newegg is a long-running public company that sells PC parts and electronics. Like any large retailer with a marketplace, quality depends on what you buy and who sells it. Check the seller on each listing.
What is the Newegg return policy?
Most items have 15 or 30 days depending on category. Some opened parts carry a 15% restocking fee, and open-box items are final sale. See the Returns page.
Is there a restocking fee?
Per Newegg, a 15% fee applies to opened hard drives, motherboards, graphics cards, projectors and TVs, unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
What is Newegg+?
A free membership launched in April 2024 with free shipping on badged products, early access to deals and faster processing of qualifying returns.
What is Newegg Shuffle?
A random-selection system for hard-to-find products introduced in 2021. Entering does not guarantee you can buy.
Are marketplace sellers safe?
Many are fine, but seller terms and quality vary. Use the seller risk check.
How are customer reviews?
On ConsumerAffairs, Newegg.com had a 1.5 out of 5 rating from 1,466 reviews when we checked, with most complaints about support, shipping and refunds. Review sites tend to attract unhappy customers, so use them as context.
Has Newegg had problems before?
According to Wikipedia: counterfeit Intel CPUs sold in 2010, a 2018 incident in which malicious code exposed payment data at checkout for over a month, and a 2022 controversy over return refusals after which Newegg apologized and changed an open-box policy.
